The SUMO HHH ranking chart
Level Description:
1. JONOKUCHI: The starting point for the young
SUMOTORI. This rank will be held until completing the sixth trail when a Sumo
HHH name is given. Previously named harriers may choose to keep their previous
name, or have the pack give a new Sumo HHH name. Upon being named by the Sumo
HHH, a patch is bestowed upon future Jonidan.
2. JONIDAN: Named Sumo Harriers with less than 20
hash runs. Advancement from Jonokushi is automatic upon attending the seventh
hash. At 10 and 20 runs, patches are awarded to the experienced Jonidan.
3. SANDANME: Sumo Harriers with 21-50 hash runs
with the Sumo HHH. Run patches are awarded at 30, 40, and 50 Sumo HHH runs.
Sandanme harriers need only run one more Sumo Hash trail for advancement to
Juryo.
4. JURYO: Sumo Harriers with 51-100 hash runs with
the Sumo HHH. Additional run patches are awarded on every 10 run.
5. MAKUUCHI: Mismangement (temporary), to include
the Hash Cash, HonSec, Haberdasher, and Beer Meister. This rank will be
permanently bestowed on all Super Hares (those that have laid at least 10
trails).
6. MAEGASHIRA: All Sumo harriers with over 100 Sumo
Hash runs will become permanent Maegashiras.
7. SANYAKU: The current Grand Master. Grand Master
will be held for 1 Year until a new GM is voted on by the pack.
8. SEKIWAKE: Reserved for those Sumo Harriers that
have made significant contributions to the Sumo HHH, holding many mismangement
positions, helping arrange and/or haring many trails.
9. OZEKI: Once a GM has completed a full and
successful term as GM, the Ozekis will vote for promotion of outgoing GM to the
new rank of Ozeki. Outgoing GMs must have made significant contributions to the
hash as either a Hare or other mismangement duties. GMs that do not complete a
full year may be voted for permanent Sanyaku ranking by the existing Ozekis.
10. YOKOZUNA: To be determined.
